Clear terms for a focused app.

These terms explain the license you receive, the rules for using NeatTake, and what to expect when you buy.

Effective September 9, 2026

Agreement and operator

By accessing the NeatTake website, creating an account, connecting the desktop app, or purchasing or using NeatTake, you agree to these terms. “NeatTake” means the software product and its operator or supplier, as identified at checkout or on your purchase receipt.

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use NeatTake for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for it.

What NeatTake provides

NeatTake is downloadable macOS software for recording a screen, camera, and microphone; editing the resulting project; and exporting video. It is a digital product. No physical item is shipped.

Your software license

A completed one-time purchase gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the purchased version of NeatTake under the user and device limits shown at checkout. The version you purchase does not require a recurring payment to keep using it.

Future major upgrades, optional services, or additional licenses may be sold separately. Any such price or recurring term will be disclosed before you buy.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding your sign-in method and device, and activity performed through your account. Notify us promptly at support@neattake.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Your content and local files

You keep ownership of recordings, projects, and other content you create. NeatTake stores project media locally on your Mac. You are responsible for keeping appropriate backups and for having the rights and permissions needed to record, edit, and share your content.

Acceptable use

You may not use NeatTake to:

  • break the law or violate another person’s privacy or rights;
  • record people, systems, or content without required permission;
  • distribute malware or interfere with NeatTake or its services;
  • reverse engineer, bypass licensing, or redistribute the software except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
  • resell or sublicense NeatTake without written permission.

You are responsible for complying with recording-consent, copyright, privacy, sanctions, and export laws that apply to you.

Price, payment, and taxes

Website prices are displayed in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. The final price, seller or merchant of record, accepted payment methods, and applicable taxes are shown at checkout before payment.

Checkout may be provided by a payment processor or merchant of record such as Stripe or Polar. When a reseller or merchant of record is named at checkout, its buyer terms also govern the payment, tax, invoice, and transaction process.

Delivery, refunds, and cancellation

NeatTake is delivered electronically after successful payment. The delivery and voluntary refund process is described in our Refund & Delivery Policy. NeatTake is not a subscription, so there is no recurring plan to cancel.

Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

Third-party services

NeatTake may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, checkout, or software distribution. Their terms and privacy policies apply to the services they provide. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

Availability and changes

We may improve, update, or discontinue online features, integrations, or future versions. We will not convert the purchased version into a recurring subscription without your express agreement. Some functionality may depend on macOS, hardware, permissions, or third-party services.

Warranty and liability

To the extent permitted by law, NeatTake is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties not expressly stated at checkout. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the extent permitted by law, NeatTake and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Any aggregate liability relating to a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for NeatTake during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend account or online-service access for fraud, security risk, unlawful conduct, or material breach of these terms. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Terms that logically continue—including ownership, payment, warranty, and liability provisions—survive termination.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms for future use of the website, account service, or later purchases. Changes do not rewrite the purchase terms already agreed for your existing license unless required by law or accepted by you. Questions can be sent to support@neattake.com.
