What this policy covers
This policy covers the NeatTake website, account features, desktop-app connection, support, and purchase records we receive. The payment provider identified at checkout has its own privacy policy for the data it processes directly.
Information we collect
- Account information, such as your name, email address, profile details, authentication identifiers, and session information when you sign in with Google.
- Synced NeatTake preferences associated with your account and short-lived authorization data used to connect the desktop app.
- Support messages and any files or diagnostic information you choose to send to us.
- Purchase, license, tax, and transaction details received from the checkout provider. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Basic request and security data processed by our hosting providers, such as IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, and timestamps.
Your recordings stay on your Mac
NeatTake records and stores project media locally on your Mac. The app does not upload your recordings or project media to our website or account service. We only receive media if you deliberately send it to support or use a future sharing feature that clearly says it uploads.
How we use information
- Provide sign-in, account connection, and preference sync.
- Deliver purchases, licenses, updates, and customer support.
- Protect the service, prevent fraud, and diagnose failures.
- Meet tax, accounting, legal, and payment-network obligations.
- Improve NeatTake using product feedback you choose to provide.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who processes information
We use service providers for hosting, authentication, cloud data storage, email, and payment processing. Google processes information when you use Google sign-in. If purchases are enabled, the provider shown at checkout —such as Stripe or Polar—processes payment and billing information under its own terms.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer. Service providers may only use information to perform services for us or as otherwise described in their own notices.
Cookies and similar technology
We currently use only technology needed for sign-in, session security, and core site operation. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. Read our Cookie Policy for details.
Retention and security
We keep account and preference data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Purchase and support records may be kept longer for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute, and legal obligations. Abandoned desktop authorization grants expire quickly.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Keep your device and account credentials secure and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
To make a request, email support@neattake.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.
International use and children
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. We use the protections required for those transfers where applicable. NeatTake is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as NeatTake changes. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. Questions can be sent to support@neattake.com.
